In solar cell printing, precision stencils are taking place of the conventional wire meshes or emulsion screens with increasing demand for energy efficiency.

Electroformed solar cell stencils in particular proved to be the best choice for solar cell printing. Accumulated research in solar energy show that when comparing performance of conventional screen printing and precision stencil printing in solar cell manufacturing, electroformed solar cell stencils feature considerably higher aspect ratio, exceptional paste release properties and print much finer lines, all of which in the end lead to much higher yield and as well as lower costs. With stencil printing, there proved to be more than 0.3% improvement on yield and more than 20% saving on silver.

VECODUAL

Vecodual is a hard nickel stencil consisting of two layers: a top “grid” layer on the squeegee side allowing the printing medium to permeate and a bottom “product” layer which defines the final pattern.
